Cheltenham Borough Council

The official site of the bestest Borough Council you could ever hope to get a demand for unpaid Council Tax from. This site includes loads of exciting information about the town such as the names and addresses of all local libraries and an archive of all Council press releases which should make very entertaining reading.

The official voice of Cheltenham

This Is Gloucestershire

The official web site of the Gloucestershire (Cheltenhamshire) Echo, this is an essential read if you want to be kept updated with the issues affecting the daily lives of Cheltenham townsfolk. This site has won loads of awards for some reason or another so I suppose it's worth checking out.  It also saves you paying 30pence each day for the local paper!

Extra, extra, read all about it, no interesting news in Cheltenham and that's official!

Cheltenham International Jazz Festival

Cheltenham has become a highlight in every jazz enthusiasts calendar thanks to the popular Cheltenham International Jazz Festival.  Yes, I know this isn't a link to the Jazz Festival site, I just thought it was a good opportunity to try and send you to Amazon to buy some Jazz CDs. Nice!!!

GlosJobs

So now you've seen what a great town Cheltenham is, you're probably going to want to move here.  And what better way to earn some money to spend at our many attractions than by getting yourself a job.  Visit this site to see if there are any of them job things which take your fancy.  If you already have a job in the town then quit it and get one of the jobs on this site instead because they are probably a lot better and your new colleagues won't know about the embarrassing incident at last year's Christmas Party!

Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham

Located in Regent Street the Everyman is Cheltenham's premier theatre. It attracts excellent productions throughout the year and the stage has seen many famous faces including Lee Hurst, John Inman, and a couple of people from ITV series 'The Bill' . The Everyman hosts a Christmas pantomime each year which causes controversy amongst local people - oh no it doesn't, oh yes it does!

Go the Everyman because it is good and that is official.

Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education

Cheltenham is home to a lot of students.  If you wanted to add to the accommodation problems visit this web site, choose a course that looks easy, then search through the Home Buyer section of the local newspaper for a bed-sit that doesn't require you to be a young professional. The official abbreviated title of the College is CGCHE, it used to have a '&' symbol but a source (who wishes to remain nameless) tells me it has been dropped and I now have to type 'ampersand'. Strange.

CGCHE: Study a course in abbreviating long names.

Cheltenham Racecourse

Cheltenham is the home of National Hunt racing and every year thousands of people lose thousands of pounds in search of early retirement with a flutter during Gold Cup week.  Visit the Racecourse web site to see when the next opportunity to lose a lot of money is.  Just don't mention the 2001 National Hunt Festival - bit of a sore point is that one!

Go to Cheltenham Racecourse and lose all of your money.

Cheltenham Film Society

Did you know there was such a thing as the Cheltenham Film Society? You didn't? Well don't worry because neither did I until I found their web site. Now you know they exist, you'll be pleased to know they were the winners of the Film Society Of The Year Award. Visit their web site for more information.

And the winner is... The Cheltenham Film Society!

THE BIT OF ADVERTISING YOU GET ON ALL SITES:
Cheltenham contains a lot of shops where you can get the latest entertainment products and be served by a human being.  However, if you don't like personal interaction or simply want to purchase products at a cheaper price, then visit
amazon.co.uk because, quite simply, they are all the best entertainment shops in Cheltenham rolled into one!
